Back in October 2011 we travelled down south to Bristol for the wedding of Natasha and Matt. They tied the knot at The Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel in what is, arguably, one of the grandest ceremony rooms I’ve ever been priviledged enough to work in! As everything was happening in the one place the day was nice and relaxed – offering us some time to take the couple aside later on for some cool portraits. Here’s a few of my favourite images from the day…

The bouquet on display in the rather fancy bathroom!
Here’s the lady of the hour prepping for the day with booze and food…
As usual, Kelly was with the guys as they got ready in the morning. Here’s the best man getting button hole help from one of the Marriott staff…
The main man, Matt – accompanied by his and Natasha’s young son Isaac. Both father and son look highly sceptical…
See what I mean about the ceremony room?
Smartphones are the new ‘TV’.
The bride sneaking a peek at the ceremony room from on high…
Isaac thought he should keep an eye on the proceedings to make sure nobody messed up…
The crisps were to placate a now rather tired and irritable Isaac!
The Gals!
The Guys!
Utterly unplanned and completely by surprise, Natasha and Matt were treated to a lovely chorus by members of the Bristol based choir Sing Out Bristol!
Little treats like this really help cement the day in your memory – that and the photography of course!
Cookie treats!
Mmmmm… cake…
Just as dusk was upon us we headed outside for some portraits of the couple…
I expected a barrage of foul language and empty beer cans as we passed this group of teenagers. I was pleasantly surprised to hear compliments and congratulations instead.
Clearly I am officially a grumpy old man.
This is actually the entrance to the Marriott’s underground carpark – proving that beautiful photos can come from the most unlikely situations!
What a great day and an even better couple! A belated congratulations and here’s to a wonderful life together.
