Peter Boyd Photo Blog bio picture

Hello and welcome

I'm a photographer based in Yorkshire who specialises in wedding,
portrait and headshot photography. I also undertake commercial
commissions, including interior photography, theatre productions and
event coverage.

I am married to Kelly, my long suffering wife, and we live in Huddersfield with our cat, Simon.

I've always had a passion for photography, from watching my grandad
repair old cameras in his spare room to looking through the press
photography of my godfather.

I endeavour to create detailed, stunning and memorable images and my mantra is simple:- there's beauty in everything!

So, sit back with a cuppa and have a browse through my blog. Comments
are always welcome, so don't be shy (Although I will delete anything
that is abusive or makes fun of my hair!)

Mans Best Friend…

After many months of weighing up the pros and cons, Kelly and I recently decided we would adopt a dog from a rescue society. That was the easy part. The really hard part was then choosing a dog from the hundreds that we fell in love with! After much soul-searching we finally settled on this chap…

His name is Toby and he is a 2 year old yellow Labrador.

Now, being a rescue dog you may think he has his fair share of issues – and you’d be right! Toby was, we think, pretty isolated as a pup and as such hasn’t had any real socialising experience. He’s not vicious at all, just very anxious around new dogs. Anyway, before we got him we considered this as a possible issue, so we paid a visit to a weekend meeting of The Springers Dog Club. These guys meet regularly and put on agility classes to keep the dogs (and owners!) in shape. Whilst Toby may not be ready for this just yet I think we may well be seeing these guys again in the future!

I can’t wait to get Toby bounding over see-saws and burrowing through tunnels. I think he’d love it almost as much as we would!
