At the weekend we had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Laura & Russ, at Wentbridge House. We’d shot the couples Engagement pictures there about 6 weeks beforehand (see the blog post here), so we had a good idea of what to expect from the location. As usual I was with the bride in the morning – along with her bridesmaids, mum, hairdressers and make-up artists. Thankfully the room was big enough to accommodate us all and I set about capturing the details of the morning.
Meanwhile, Kelly caught up with the guys to capture evidence of their morning shenanigans. It’s always a gamble for Kelly – despite her requests for the groomsmen to be at least half dressed before she shoots any ‘getting ready’ shots, she’ll inevitably be called into a bedroom by a chap who’s striking his best Zoolander pose in nothing but a pair of boxers! Fortunately, Russ and his entourage were more obliging to her request.
Despite running a little late – as most weddings do – the day was a huge success. There was great attention to detail from the Wentbridge staff and a Best Man’s speech that didn’t disappoint (the details of which I shall skip to keep the groom’s dignity intact!). Anyway, here are a few favourites from the day…
