Hello and welcome

I'm a photographer based in Yorkshire who specialises in wedding,
portrait and headshot photography. I also undertake commercial
commissions, including interior photography, theatre productions and
event coverage.

I am married to Kelly, my long suffering wife, and we live in Huddersfield with our cat, Simon.

I've always had a passion for photography, from watching my grandad
repair old cameras in his spare room to looking through the press
photography of my godfather.

I endeavour to create detailed, stunning and memorable images and my mantra is simple:- there's beauty in everything!

So, sit back with a cuppa and have a browse through my blog. Comments
are always welcome, so don't be shy (Although I will delete anything
that is abusive or makes fun of my hair!)

Hallowe’en Happening 2010 – LBT

November has been a manic month, so forgive me for posting halloween pictures so late!

This year the Lawrence Batley Theatre hosted their 2nd annual Hallowe’en Happening. Kelly and I were asked to photograph the first ‘happening’ last year and because they were so happy with those images they asked us back again this year, which is always a nice thing to happen!

The event consisted of several performances by many different theatre companies through the course of the evening. These were interspersed with smaller, more intimate shows (e.g. a magician performing card tricks, or a fire-juggling stilt-walker). There was even a theatre make-up company on hand to make the various wounds and disfigurements on show look all the more realistic.

Below are a few images from the evening…

The pumpkin art was top-notch, as always.

Even zombie MJ made an appearance…

Alterego were on hand to provide disturbingly realistic make-up effects for those with a strong constitution!

Chol Theatre were one of the companies performing on the evening – an improvised piece revolving around the random selection of body parts deemed worthy of demonic “improvement”…

So that’s where Wally’s been hiding…

“You’ve got red on you…”

All-in-all it was a great night, topped off with an awesome musical performance by Madam Laycock and her Dabeno Pleasures. To see Madam Laycock and the rest of the images from the evening simply go to
