Exactly two weeks ago today Kelly and I were making our way to The Priory Cottages, near Wetherby, to begin photographing the wedding of fellow industry supplier Becky (The Little Bridal Company) and her fiance Ryan. It’s always a compliment to be chosen to capture someone’s wedding day, but it’s an even higher compliment to be chosen by someone actually in the industry. Someone who has met many photographers during their business life and chosen you above the rest. The only compliment to beat that is to be chosen by another photographer, but that’s a whole different kettle of fish.
As always we arrived in time to capture the morning preparations. You know the story; the hair, the make-up, the dog’s outfit – all the usual stuff . After dropping me off with Becky, Kelly headed off to meet Ryan and the guys for their prep shots – which was a 2 hour round trip and she had trouble finding third gear in my car. I’m guessing that was a fun journey. With preparations done Kelly returned, punched me in the arm and we set about capturing the rest of the day.

This is Sparco. He’s ace.
Given what she does for a living it should come as no surprise that Becky had designed and made both her own dress and her bridesmaids dresses. The results were amazing.
I want this car…
What do you get the best man who has everything? A whopping great knife, apparently…
… which actually came in handy when one of the groomsmen was missing a pocket square!
Becky and Ryan had chosen a ‘circus’ theme for their reception and the attention to detail was brilliant!
Becky & Ryan had put on a Fish ‘n’ Chip van for their evening food. This pleased a lot of people!
We had a brilliant day with Becky & Ryan and wish them every happiness for the future
